Setting up your restaurant
From signup to your first live order
STEP 01

Fill in your restaurant name, location, and create your account. We review every application and approve within 24 hours. You'll get an email once approved.
STEP 02
Log into your dashboard
Go to qwickeat.com/dashboard and log in with your email and password. The onboarding wizard will guide you through the first setup.
STEP 03
Add your menu items
Go to Menu in the sidebar. Add each item with a name, price, and category. You can add as many items as you want.
STEP 04
Connect your Paystack account
Go to Payments in the sidebar. Follow the instructions to get your Paystack subaccount code and paste it in. This ensures payments go directly to your bank.
STEP 05
Print your QR codes
Go to QR Codes, set your number of tables, and click Generate All. Print them and place them on each table. You are now live.
💡
Tip: Open qwickeat.com/kitchen on a tablet or spare phone and leave it in the kitchen. Every new order appears there automatically.

How QR ordering works
What your customers experience

No. Customers scan the QR code with their phone camera (or WhatsApp scanner) and your menu opens directly in their browser. No app download, no account creation required.

Customers can pay with:

  • Debit/credit card
  • Bank transfer
  • USSD (*737# and others) — works without internet
  • Paystack mobile app

The moment payment is confirmed by Paystack, the order appears on your dashboard and kitchen screen automatically. No manual steps needed. The customer sees a receipt page on their phone.

Yes. They can add multiple items to the cart before paying. The order comes through as one single order with all items listed.

The menu loads quickly and is designed for low-bandwidth connections. For payment, USSD (*737# for GTBank, *901# for Access, etc.) works entirely without internet — customers dial directly from their phone.

Live orders & kitchen
Tracking and managing orders in real time

Go to Dashboard → Live Orders. Orders appear here the moment a customer pays. The page refreshes automatically every few seconds — you don't need to manually refresh.

For the kitchen, open qwickeat.com/kitchen on a separate device. It shows the same orders in a larger, easier-to-read format.

On the Live Orders page or Kitchen screen, each order has status buttons. Click Preparing when your kitchen starts working on it, then click Ready when the food is done. The customer's receipt page also updates with the status.

First, refresh the page. If it still doesn't appear, check your internet connection. Orders are saved the moment payment is confirmed — they do not disappear. If you still cannot find it, contact support with the customer's phone number and we will locate the order.

On the customer app, there is a Call Waiter button. When a customer taps it, a notification appears on your dashboard showing their table number. Useful for when they need assistance beyond ordering.

QR codes
Generating, printing, and placing your QR codes

Go to Dashboard → QR Codes. Set the number of tables and the starting table number, then click Generate All. A QR code is created for every table. Click Print All to print them all at once, or download individual ones as PNG images.

Options from simplest to best:

  • Plain paper — works fine, laminate it for durability
  • Card/cardstock — stands up better on tables
  • Table tent cards — professional look, available at printing shops
  • Acrylic stands — premium option, lasts years

QwickEat also offers branded table stands — contact us to order.

No. The QR code links to your restaurant — not your menu. Menu changes update automatically behind the same QR code. You only need to reprint if your restaurant slug changes, which almost never happens.

💳
How payouts work
When and how you receive your money

Paystack settles funds to your bank account on their standard schedule — typically the next business day for Nigerian banks. QwickEat does not add any extra delay. The money goes from customer → Paystack → your bank directly.

Two fees apply to each transaction:

  • Paystack fee: 1.5% + ₦100 per transaction (waived on transactions below ₦2,500)
  • QwickEat platform fee: whatever percentage you set in your dashboard (default 1.5%)

There is no monthly fee, no setup fee, and no other charges.

Go to Dashboard → Payments and follow the steps to create a Paystack subaccount. You will need your bank name and account number. Paystack verifies the account before activating it.

First check your Paystack dashboard at dashboard.paystack.com to confirm the transaction completed. If it shows as successful there but hasn't settled, contact Paystack support directly as they handle bank settlements. If the transaction does not appear on Paystack, contact QwickEat support with the customer's reference number.

📌
Disputes & refunds
Handling payment problems

This can happen if the customer's internet dropped after payment but before the order was saved. Ask the customer for their Paystack reference number (it is on their bank statement or Paystack receipt). Send it to QwickEat support and we will investigate immediately.

Contact QwickEat support via WhatsApp or email with the customer's payment reference number and the reason for the refund. We process refunds through Paystack directly. Refunds typically reach the customer within 3–5 business days.

If the food has not been prepared yet, you can contact QwickEat support to issue a refund. If the food is already being prepared, this is at your discretion as the restaurant owner. QwickEat does not have a policy that forces refunds on prepared food.
