1. Who We Are

QwickEat NG operates the QwickEat platform at qwickeat.com. We provide digital ordering and payment services for restaurants in Nigeria. References to "we", "us", or "QwickEat" refer to QwickEat NG.

2. Data We Collect

From restaurant owners (merchants):

• Restaurant name, location, and contact details
• Email address and password (encrypted)
• Paystack subaccount information
• Menu items and pricing
• Order and transaction history

From customers:

• Phone number (required for order placement)
• Name (entered during checkout)
• Email address (optional, for receipt only)
• Order details and payment references

Automatically collected:

• Device type and browser information
• IP address (for fraud prevention)
• Pages visited and interaction data

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

• Process and fulfil orders
• Send order receipts and confirmations
• Send daily sales reports to merchants
• Detect and prevent fraud
• Improve the platform and fix bugs
• Respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Paystack — for payment processing. Subject to Paystack's Privacy Policy
• Google Firebase — for secure database storage. Subject to Google's privacy policies
• Railway — for server hosting. No customer data is directly shared
• Sentry — for error logging. Error data may include anonymised request information

Customer phone numbers and order details are visible to the relevant restaurant for order fulfilment purposes only.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with the following protections:

• Encrypted at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Access controlled by Firebase security rules
• Merchant passwords hashed using PBKDF2
• Regular automated backups

No system is perfectly secure. We encourage merchants to use strong passwords and to not share account credentials.

6. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide our services:

• Order records — kept for 12 months for dispute resolution
• Merchant accounts — kept until account deletion is requested
• Error logs — automatically deleted after 90 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing

8. Cookies

QwickEat uses minimal cookies:

• Session cookies — to keep merchants logged in (expires in 24 hours)
• Local storage — to remember customer preferences (phone number, cart) on their device

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children

QwickEat is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Merchants will be notified via email of significant changes. The latest version is always available at qwickeat.com/privacy.
